Unlit turn signal steering column stalk and wiper stalk

Just purchased 2017 with 58k miles a 2017 Q7 Prestige model but noticed both column stalks I've noted in thread title aren't lit like cruise control stalk etc, are. The dealer I purchased from tells me that Audi told them they aren't supposed to be?? Seems odd. Can anyone simply confirm that theirs are or aren't lit?
